HIDDEN FEATURES AND USEFUL TIPS FOR MAPSERVER POWERUSERS
Abstract
UMN Mapserver is one of the oldest and most widly spread Free and Open
Source MapServers. Especially during the last years MapServer and its
community grew rapidly. MapServer is easy to use, has a very goof
performance and an awsome documentation.
This talk tries to shed some light on the daily work with MapServer, which
usually ends up in a list of recipies for differnt topics like
performance-tuning, debugging, cartographic hints, mapfile-hacking and so on...
The talks tries to address some not-so-widly-spread features, tips and
tricks from a perspective of a MapServer poweruser. The day-to-day work
with MapServer will certainly be a lot nicer with more fun.
