Abstract
The TIPI project has been launched by the French Transport Ministry and aims at monitor road trafic. This application agregates many data sources (real time trafic, accident, …) coming from captors, road state agents, road police, ...
Based on Open Source components such as ExtJS, Open Layers, GeoServer, MapServer, PostGIS, … TIPI fully acheives to give the user an effective and pleasant user interface facing both complexity due to the monitoring goal of the application and strong performance constraints due to multiple information sources.
WebMapping is a central component of the application. State agents have the ability to edit ponctual or linear events through the road graph (cross layers snapping), to navigate from list to maps (and reversely), ...
