STATE OF INGRES GEOSPATIAL 2010

Abstract

The Ingres geospatial project has been busy adding support for spatial data types, spatial functions, coordinate system support, enabling access libraries to use Ingres for spatial data, and more. This talk will provide a view into what Ingres offers today, what the roadmap looks like for the next year, and more. Ingres geospatial support is not a plugin. It is built into the core of Ingres and thus always on.
