Title

MIXARE: A FOSS FRAMEWORK FOR AUGMENTED REALITY

Abstract

Mixare (mix Augmented Reality Engine) is a free open source augmented reality browser, which is published under the GPLv3. At the moment mixare is available for the Android platform. It works as a completely autonomous application and is available as well for the development of own implementations.

The presentation has the aim to illustrate the project and report on some case studies where Mixare has been applied. In particular examples will  be given on applications developed in the tourism sector and in the management of green areas. Ideas and the roadmap for future developments will be illustrated.
